41:04 Talk amongst yourselves
hey make timelapses!, it's cool seeing how the light goes away in the windows
Scott, you must read Red Mars. Kim Stanley Robinson is the man.
Man, that's cool and all, but remember when we were kids....whatever happened to building working things with Legos? I built a helicopter with rotating main rotor and functioning collective, a transmission...miles of railroad tracks...I guess kids just 3D print parts for that kinda stuff anymore, huh?
Yeah, that election special of Spitting Image was good. Elon, Jeff and Richard going to Mars. Cool that you have met Sarah Brightman, she was training to fly on the Soyuz but for some reason that never happened. Would be cool with a concert from space :-)
0:00 Suffocating in outer-space. 0:43 Hullo, Hullo, Hullo
The nice thing about the playback is that I can fast forward the video.
Yes. Do videos about landing gear. I have actually been rather curious to understand their inner workings. How do they keep them safe on re-entry? What kind of impact pressures do they endure? Just how big and heavy are they? I could go on and on.
Question about gateway station: If Spacex Moonship goes well, and it's gonna fly to LEO each time to refuel and load cargo anyway. How reasonable would be to put gateway station also in LEO for the same purpose station in 2001: A Space Odyssey were there? I imagine a station that would allow Moonship and Starship (or dragon) to dock at the same time, so you can change crew and cargo independent of Moonship arrival. This way station doesn't go to waste.
Yes Lego names for pieces can get quite complicated. I found that out trying to work out what to call pieces I was selling on Brick Owl online. I had to add quite a few to the catalogue and upload lots of pictures of them.
1:08:28 Scott's dream rocket is Kraken powered. 2:09:20 oh yeah... I remember now him mentioning that before.
(to master a solar system as identity)
a mind adapts to the surroundings as we live in a solar system - on how to surrect planets is how to live in a universe
Scott, have you ever an attempted an Oscillation Overthruster in LEGO? That's my request.
Is thata blue moon?
The real test is can it survive re-entry
When I get notifications of the channel I allways come check it out and it's like: Damn it, it's not KSP!!!
Scott, how often does the velocity/altitude of the ISS have to be corrected?
Hi, I'm Mott Scanley! Sigh in faith! 😃
So looking forward to chapter 3!!!
I can't waiting for part 3. I buy myself a kit!
There shouldn't be any spare pieces. The instructions should be more specific so there's no chance of missing steps and getting spare pieces. I'm sure LEGO and IKEA are one and the same company!! Lol
🎶“You’re the piece that I want… hoo hoo hooo!”🎵 🤣
41:18 Torture! Can only look at a beer sitting there without anyone drinking it!
Growler story: You aren't worthy! All of us together are not worthy! Treat her right, she's a keeper.
Beers and Legos... That's what I call Adult-ing.
No broccoli 🥦
I'd love to assemble a bunch of lego projects, but I really don't want them to take up space somewhere in my home afterwards.
I had a similar thought. Except I don't object to the space they take up as much as I don't have the space for them to take up. :)
Why is part 2 released before part 1?
If Susan Wojcicki Can Get Money By Pesting People, I Have A Whole Lot Of Pesting To Do!!!
Perseverance Left Out The Part Where The Hydrogen Comes From, (H₂O + 237kJ/mol + 48.6kJ/mol → H₂ + ½O₂), Not So Easy Now At Twice The Power Consumption, Only To Start The "Sabatier Process", Angry They Didn't Send Both These Before MOXIE, Oh Well?!?
If The Ignition Starts At 5.0% Methane, The Engine Bell Should Get It Up To That Pressure Before Combustion?!?
Watching Dry Ice Boil Off?
Methane - Flammability Limits: LFL: 5.0%; UFL: 14.3%
Sarah Vaughan - "(I Left My Heart) In San Francisco" I left my heart in San Francisco. High on a hill it calls to me to be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars! The morning fog may chill the air, I don't care! My love waits there in San Francisco, above the blue and windy sea. When I come home to you, San Francisco, your golden sun will shine for me! I left my heart in San Francisco. High on a hill it calls to me to be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars! The morning fog may chill the air, I don't care! My love waits there in San Francisco, above the blue and windy sea. When I come home to you, San Francisco,
Watching grown men build space ships from across the globe. What a time to be alive.
Watching an adult playing with Legos. I'm done. Peace. Out
Good old plastic
2:26:10 So lovely
Add an Astronaut figure to the Hubble holding a broken handle and call him Mike. I remember watching the final service mission to Hubble. Those days you had to install realplayer for livestreams.
Realplayer is a name I didn't hear about for quite some time now, thanks for he memories lol
Being a huge fan of LEGO's Creator series and everything (aero)space related; I saw this video pop-up in my subscriptions and instantly my wallet started to run away in the opposite direction. LOL. The Saturn V and Apollo 11 builds were awesome and oh my, this looks stunning!
Inflatable habitats are NOT SOLELY owned by Bigelow Aerospace. SNC has shown plans to use them on their space stations and proposes them as habitats for vehicles such as translunar and interplanetary travel.
This is so wholesome haha
Building the "LEGO Shuttle" ... SpaceX for Pros ... lol
This is the casual Scott ? :)
Getting flashbacks to last year, when I build a model kit of the Shuttle (Discovery, of course) with the Hubble.
One of my mature students bought the full Saturn 5 lego kit for her husbands birthday. She said she hoped he enjoyed it because it was damn expensive. I said why dont you go back to the shop and buy some random small bags of black and white pieces and slip them in. He will have fun trying to find out where they fit. Ooooh! Big mistake as she didnt tell me he was autistic and built the thing three times and sent several emails to lego before she admitted what I told her to do. Took a while but he eventually saw the funny side.
@Zana GB oh bless your fragile heart. You never had a mechanno set then? The makers purposefully made mistakes in the contents ( extra parts )and mistakes in the booklets. This is to oromote thinking into any construction and not to blindly follow instructions. Oh you poor thing, I feel sorry for you if your feelings are hurt.
Even if the person wasn't autistic. Do tell me. Where in the world is the fun in seeing someone going in a panic thinking their 1969 piece set has somehow a lot of extra pieces, where there should be none, and thinking they've done something wrong to the point of needing to dismantle 5 to 6 hours worth of work to ensure nothing was amiss, and rebuilding it again. Where is the fun in having to tear down your own work down because some dim wit decided to add extra pieces? What kind of sadistic hellspawn are you, and that woman? Everyone involved on this story is a terrible person, except the husband.
Thats a Rippa Story...👍🔥👍
Unexpectedly spent a couple of hours round at the Manley's house this morning
Scott Manly be drinking
New James Bond main character will be blue haired transgender land whale on mobility scooter...
Black Tranquilizer - Never thought much of the spy genre, but now I'm buying a ticket.
Heh, Chinese booted out russkies from their newly launched space station)))
Yep. They see which way the solar wind is blowing. China will be prominent in next ten years if america dont pull their finger out. They're lagging due to relying too long on other countries.
Awesome .... I start mine next week. Just have to make sure I have enough beer.
Beer is the best!
apple sucks. always has.
Ah ! I have friends who live on Frances Drake Drive!
For those looking for part one: noprojects.info/camera/video/2d2Jd9-YqXOCmX8
Any plans on posting Part 1? I missed it and would love to see it
But it's there, did you checked?
It was too personal: daugther took all attention to her and wife also have taken part
I’d love to see if you can build a lego Webb space telescope
If they ever make the kit!
It's been so long since I've built some legos, my favorite was the Mars mission stuff from probably around '08. So many memories
I just have soooooooo much typo
Bruh i have grrat puns
Just in case this wasn't a bad pun: 1st (= fir*st*) 2nd (= seco*nd*) 3rd (= thi*rd*) 4th (= four*th*) and so on... You get the idea?
and try not to explode
